Resource Co’s story starts with Demoworx, a leading demolition and asbestos removal company servicing much of the North Island. After years in the industry, the team saw a growing problem—limited options for responsible waste disposal and resource recovery. Too much material was ending up in landfill, and the process for contractors was slow, costly, and inefficient.
There had to be a better way—a system that would make it easier for businesses to dispose materials quickly, affordably, and sustainably.
Challenge Became an Opportunity
What began as a solution for Demoworx’s own challenges quickly became something bigger. By creating a state-of-the-art resource recovery facility in Cambridge, the team developed a purpose-built operation that works for contractors and businesses across the North Island.
